Fabian Wehnert Becomes Head of the Representative Office 'House of Family Business' in Berlin

The Foundation for Family Business is strengthening its presence in Berlin. Starting July 1st 2012, Fabian Wehnert (45) willbecome head of the representative office "House of Family Business". Fabian Wehnert has studied politics, history and economics in Munich, York, and Bruges. After holding positions including at the FAZ-Institute and the German Bundestag, he spent ten years working at the Federation of German Industries (BDI). Most recently, he worked for the Brand Association in Berlin and Brussels.

The charitable Foundation for Family Business is supported by around 350 leading German family businesses and has three main objectives: promotion of the exchange of family entrepreneurs, support for research activities and research institutions that deal with this particular type of company, and improvement of the perception of family businesses by politics and amongst the general public. In addition, the Foundation serves as the main contact for political decision makers when it comes to the specific needs of this type of company in legal, fiscal and economic issues.
